Bald Eagles

Squamish will soon be hosting one of the largest congregations of wintering bald eagles in North America. Every year between the months of November and January, Squamish is the home of the wintering bald eagle; the annual return of the spawning salmon heralds the annual return of the eagle. The Squamish River watershed provides not only food but also security, in the form of roosting and perching trees, allowing for spectacular eagle viewing opportunities.
